1. Is MitoQ® Mitoquinol safe?
Yes, MitoQ is safe. Our products are made in New Zealand under strict international standards and undergo rigorous testing. MitoQ is manufactured in FDA-registered facilities, follows Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and is independently tested for purity and quality.
We also hold multiple certifications, including self-affirmed GRAS (Generally Recognised As Safe) for Mitoquinol, Halal compliance (Halal certified for select products), and international quality standards, reflecting our commitment to safety and high-quality products.
2. What distinguishes MitoQ different from all other health supplements?
MitoQ® Mitoquinol is the world-first mitochondria-targeted antioxidant created in New Zealand. It is a patented, mitochondria-targeted form of CoQ10 designed for superior bioavailability and mitochondrial absorption, and has been the subject of extensive scientific research since 1995.
3. What’s the difference between MitoQ Pure and the MitoQ Plus range?
MitoQ Pure contains mainly MitoQ® Mitoquinol. The MitoQ Plus range has additional high-quality, research-backed ingredients such as MitoPrime® Ergothioneine, Longvida® Curcumin, and GlycOmega™ New Zealand Green-Lipped Mussel Oil, each selected for quality and safety to target more specific functional needs.
4. Who should take MitoQ products?
MitoQ is intended for adults seeking to support cellular health, energy, healthy aging, and overall wellbeing. Not recommended for children, pregnant, or breastfeeding women unless directed by a healthcare professional.
5. Is MitoQ vegetarian/vegan/gluten-free?
Most MitoQ products are vegan, gluten-free, and non-GMO. Please refer to specific product pages for details.
6. How do I take MitoQ products?
We recommend taking MitoQ products in the morning at least 30 minutes before food or 2 hours after. MitoQ is water-soluble and does not require food or oils for absorption. MitoQ may be taken with light drinks such as coffee or tea.
7. Can I take more than a 10mg daily dose (i.e. more than 2 capsules per day)?
For general cellular health, supporting energy, vitality, and metabolic function, we recommend adults to start with 10 mg (2 capsules) daily, then increase to 20 mg (4 capsules) if desired.
8. How long before I notice results?
Individual experiences vary. Some may notice improvements in energy, exercise performance and recovery or overall vitality within 4-6 weeks of regular use. We suggest taking it consistently for at least two to three months to experience the effect of MitoQ® Mitoquinol.
9. Can I take MitoQ products with other supplements or medications?
Generally yes, but if you are unsure, or on prescribed medication or undergoing medical treatment (especially chemotherapy), please consult your healthcare professional.
10. Are there any side effects?
In rare cases, some individuals may experience mild digestive discomfort or nausea. If this occurs, try taking it with water just before a meal.
11. How should I store my MitoQ products?
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to maintain product quality.
12. Is MitoQ packaging sustainable?
Yes. Our bottles and caps use minimal polypropylene for better recyclability, and the protective boxes are made from responsibly sourced, PEFC-certified paper with eco-friendly inks. All materials can be fully recycled or composted, reflecting our commitment to reducing environmental impact.
